When reflecting on the past and our experiences it can sometimes be easy to fall into victim or survivor mode. It is said and I know from my own experiences, that our life lessons, traumas and experiences are not only a reflection of ourselves of what is inside us that needs to be seen and healed but also an opportunity for personal growth and evolution. Our past experiences can for many become a catalyst for our path and purpose here on earth to help guide others who may be experiencing the same or similar. To be there for them, to hold space for them to share, to listen, to empower, to have empathy and compassion as they know how it felt and what it was like when they went through it too. Most find that their darkest moments once they have learned the lesson within them turn those lessons into their path and purpose.
Although this is great and gives one a mission and a path to being of service to others it also important to remember who you are at the core and not get caught up in the past and get pulled back into victim or being a survivor. It is important not to identify with our experiences, not to wear them like a badge of honour or a piece of clothing or even a hat. They are just experiences, not your identity. I know myself that when I talk of my experiences at times it pulls me back into victim, at times when reading certain books to help me heal and give me strategies to make change, this too at times pulls me back into victim. It is an observation I make and then detach from the experience, rise above it and be the observer and remember it is not who I am.
Holding on and being attached to an event or person or wanting or wishing for a certain outcome is considered as having an attachment to something or someone or attachment to the outcome. This holding on by feeling victim or considering yourself a survivor or being anxious for a certain outcome gives more energy to the experience, where your focus goes is where energy flows. By law of attraction this holding on and being attachment brings more of the same experience to you, more fear, more anxiety, more similar experiences to you. It holds you in that energy, your mind will try and identify with the event, blaming others and telling you are the victim, labelling you as a survivor and giving you the feeling of winning, it will try and identify you to the event or circumstance. This is not who you are.
It is important to remember who you are. Who you are at the very core, the true essence of who you are is Christ consciousness, spirit, a soul, pure positive energy, light, love, warmth, joy, happiness, abundant, healthy, kind, caring, compassionate and so much more. This is Who You Are, not the experience, not the thought, not the beliefs you hold, not anything else, you are so much more. It is therefore important to practice non-attachment and be present in the knowing of your true essence, your true self, the limitless expansive being that you are. Come back to the present and be in the body, in your heart space and go forth from this space. Re-member who you are, always come back to who you are. There are many ways in which you can become present in the moment, some techniques are to take a few deep breaths, relax your shoulders, drop into your heart space, listen to what sounds are present right now, look at things that are around you right now. From here you can say to yourself that you are no longer that person, the old version of you, you are not that experience, You are pure positive energy, You are light, You are the creator of your life, You are Christ Consciousness.
Now is the time to let go of our old selves and return to our soul, return home to ourselves, our true selves, it is time to let go of ego, of our old identities, our old believes, our old conditioning.
We are all called to do this at this time in our evolution, as a collective to be lead from our hearts, our soul, our spirit, from the Christ Consciousness within us all. To lead a spirit-led life, no longer driven by fear, doubt, lack, scarcity but from light, love, purpose, compassion and confidence in the knowing of who you really are. Step into that knowing, claim it, own it, embody it. Detach from the old, detach from past pain, past mistakes and past identities. Detach from the old self, practice non-attachment by being present and embodying the knowing of who you are, moving forward with this knowledge, moving forward with grace, moving forward knowing you are everything you want or are seeking for. It is all within you already, you are love, joy, happiness, abundant, healthy, light, creative, knowing, you are all this and so much more.
